Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026 · Governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using BenefitsBridge (the "Service") at benefitsbridge.ca, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

2. Description of the Service

BenefitsBridge provides an AI-powered analysis tool that reads Canadian employer benefits booklets (PDF documents) and identifies potential unclaimed health benefit entitlements, provincial program eligibility, and federal tax credits. The Service also includes:

  • Receipt scanning to track already-claimed expenses
  • Year-end expiry alerts sent by email
  • Step-by-step claim guides (paid tiers)

3. Not insurance or financial advice

BenefitsBridge provides benefits information and guidance — not insurance advice, tax advice, financial advice, or legal advice.

Specifically:

  • Audit results are estimates based on AI analysis of your booklet. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
  • Final adjudication of any claim rests entirely with your insurer. BenefitsBridge has no authority over, and makes no representations about, whether your insurer will approve any specific claim.
  • Tax credit information is general in nature. Consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
  • Provincial program eligibility estimates are based on publicly available program rules. Eligibility determinations are made by the respective government authority, not by BenefitsBridge.

Always consult a qualified professional (insurance advisor, financial planner, accountant, or lawyer) before making decisions based on your audit results.

4. Your responsibilities

By using the Service you represent and warrant that:

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You are the lawful recipient of the benefits booklet you upload. You have the right to upload it for personal analysis.
  • The information you provide (province, income range, receipts) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You will not upload documents containing personal information of other individuals without their consent.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the Service, or use automated tools to make bulk requests.
  • You will not upload files that contain malware, exploits, or material other than benefits booklets or medical receipts.

5. Intellectual property

The BenefitsBridge website, brand, software, and content (excluding your uploaded documents) are owned by BenefitsBridge Inc. and protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Your benefits booklet PDF and receipt images remain your property. By uploading them, you grant BenefitsBridge a limited, temporary licence to process them solely for the purpose of performing your audit. This licence expires immediately when processing is complete.

6. Paid plans and refunds

Paid subscription features are not yet live. When billing launches:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
  • Money-back guarantee: If BenefitsBridge does not identify at least $200 in claimable benefits within your first 30 days, you are entitled to a full refund. Email support@benefitsbridge.ca with your request — no questions asked.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BENEFITSBRIDGE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AUDIT RESULTS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 CAD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BenefitsBridge Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

10. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where possible, by emailing registered users. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
